STEAM Week in 4th Class

This week was STEAM Week in OLOC. The girls in 4th Class had great fun participating in all the activities throughout the week. They made lava lamps in science and practiced their procedural writing skills afterwards. The girls learned about the different types of bridges and the what role an engineer plays in the design process. They then took on the role of an engineer and started to design their own structures. This was followed by the building of their structures. Not all structures went to plan but using their problem solving skills adjustments were made. We finished off STEAM Week today with the BeeBots. The girls had to program the BeeBots to get from one place to another and even had to solve sums in the process. A great week was had by all.
