Since the start of the new school year the girls in 2nd class have been very busy! They did lots of games and lots of discussion in the first week to get to know each other and to learn each others names. In PE they worked in pairs to practise and develop the skills of jumping for height and distance and hopping.
As a school, we’re lucky to be enjoying taking part in Music Generation.
They’ve read lots of amazing books as a class such as ‘The Dot’. They also created their own art starting with a simple dot.
DEAR time has been enjoyed and also lots of activities to practise our literacy skills in groups.
In maths, they’ve been learning about 2D shapes. They used tangrams, geo boards, iPads and pattern boards with shapes to explore their properties. They also looked at symmetry and finished with making symmetrical art.
