We’ve been learning about plants and flowers this month. This week we investigated how water travels through the stem and up to the petals to keep the flower blooming!
You can try this experiment at home if you like. Put some food colouring (we learned that red worked best) in water and put some white flowers (carnations and chrysanthemums work well) in the water for a few days. Then watch what happens!
