We have been doing lots of outdoor learning over the past few weeks.
We went for a senses walk and got a chance to explore Gabi’s garden.
– We used our 5 senses!
👀 We saw lovely flowers, fruits and vegetables.
👃 We smelled lavendar and rosemary.
👂 We listened to the birds, bees and wasps around us.
🖐️ We touched the different plants and trees
👅 And we even got to taste some yummy veggies 😋
We got ice pops for reaching 200 dojo points! We’re working hard to reach our next target for another class prize ☺️
Our new Aistear theme for October is the fire station. We have learned so much about the work that the fire brigade do. We have read stories about their job, learned lots about fire safety and what to do if a fire happens. We know to dial 999 or 112!
We took a virtual tour around a real fire station in America! We have to stay fit and healthy if we want to work for the fire department.
We have been doing lots of number work too. Our mental maths skills are getting better every day! We love maths challenges.
We are starting to prepare for Halloween. We created beautiful fireworks using pastels.
We talked about staying safe when watching fire works at Halloween.
And we’re back with Larry doing GAA training! We are working on our movement skills.
Today we had our first virtual assembly. We all logged in from our classrooms to say hello!
Well done to Daniel and Madison who are Student of the Week and Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine 😁
There is lots more to come from Room 10 😁
