Today the boys and girls started the reading buddy program with the girls in Ms Barry’s 4th class. Each child in our class is paired up with a girl in 4th and they pick a book and read it together. The girls help 1st class children to break up words to help read, encourage fluency and expression. It develops confidence in reading with the children in 1st class and the girls in 4th love helping us to read. The girls did a great job helping us and we can’t wait to see the progress we make in the 6 weeks.
