We have been very busy looking at the Orchestra in OLOC over the past few weeks. We were very lucky that James Cavanagh of the Royal Irish Academy of Music heard that we were such a fantastic school that he chose to bring two different groups out to see us. Last week he brought the RIAM Junior Wind Ensemble to see us. They taught us all about wind instruments.
Then Ms Murphy and Grace had a competition to see who was the best conductor!
Grace was MUCH better and she won the competition. Sorry Ms Murphy.
Today Alex and Brian came out to teach us all about percussion instruments.
We had so much fun listening to some of our favourite famous TV and movie theme tunes and learning how easy it is to make your own instruments at home. Thank you to everyone in the RIAM. We had great fun.
