4th Class have recently started doing Irish station. They are speaking so much Irish and having lots of fun! There are many different activities that they do at each station. They spend 15 minutes at each station and do 3 stations each day. They get loads of stickers when they speak Irish.
Their favourite station is the drama corner. The area is set up as a restaurant. They come up with very creative stories and do it all through Irish!!
They work hard on their reading and writing. They write their news, write about pictures and complete their ‘Am Don Leamh’ book. They also enjoyed writing menus which they then used in the drama corner.
They play card games such as bingo, cluiche kim and ceisteanna. This helps them revise vocabulary and ask each other questions.
Finally they work on Oral Language, asking each other questions using cards, ‘Smarty Cat’ dice game and retelling stories through use of puppets.
