We’ve reached the end of our first term in second class. It has been a very busy term, with visits to the Ark theatre, the Helix in DCU, and the Sean O’Casey Theatre in East Wall. We’ve enjoyed our Magic of Music classes, taking part in the Nativity with 1st class and doing lots of cool science experiments. We’ve learned lots of grammar, have been reading like little bookworms and are flying with our maths! We’ve also been learning how to write in joined writing and are even writing as Gaeilge now! Teacher is super proud of us.
As we head into the holiday celebrations, we remember our dear friend and classmate, Evie, who we lost in September. Not a day goes by where we don’t talk about her or remember something she said or did. We miss her hugely. We lit a candle for Evie in the Church before the holidays and we sent lots of prayers to Heaven. In Evie’s short life, she impacted both the adults and children in our school in a way that we can never put into words. She will always be in our hearts.
Caillimid tú agus gráimid tú, banphrionsa álainn xx
