This week was STEAM Week in OLOC. The girls in 4th Class had great fun participating in all the activities throughout the week. On Friday Third Class took part in a drumming workshop. Everyone got to try a wide variety of drums and did an excellent job at keeping the beat and playing the different rhythms. Great fun was had by all.
Third Class had a great day out today at W5 Science Museum in Belfast. Thanks to Ms Conroy for organising a most enjoyable trip.
We had a great week this week celebrating engineer week. Some of us created mazes with Lego and junk art for our hex bugs and the rest of the class had a workshop with Bricks4kidz to create motorised Lego models. We were so proud of the Children from our Communion Choir who represented the school singing at TUSLA’s Annual Parenting Conference in Dublin Castle this morning. Well done to all involved. We had a great two weeks during seachtaine na gaeilge when we spoke Irish as much as we could. It was brilliant to see the children excited to speak Irish. We had a ceilí, Craobh Séan Treacy came and played some traditional music for us and we celebrated St Patrick’s Day with Lá glás.
