Beannachtai la Fheile Bride oraibh go leir. Over the past few days we’ve been learning all about the life of St Brigid. We made our own version of the St Brigid’s cross and coloured her magical cloak!
Our PE strand was gymnastics for December and January. Third Class have really enjoyed these lessons. For our final lesson the girls worked in groups to create sequences, which they then performed for the class. All groups were very impressive!!
For the past five weeks, Third Class have been participating in the Junior Achievement Programme, lead by Calvin Kelly of Core Media. The girls learned all about the different zones in the city, setting up a business, banking and advertising.
There are many budding fashion designers in Third Class. The girls had great fun choosing material and designing outfits.
The girls in Third Class have been working really hard at home on their projects. Everyone put in a huge effort and the results are fantastic.
Happy Halloween from everyone in Third Class.
We made use of our fantastic new yard markings today during PE. We included maths in all our games. Great fun was had.
We’ve been learning all about Mexico in 3rd Class. One of our favourite parts was learning about Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We made masks similar to those worn on the 1st and 2nd of November in Mexico.
We had great fun today playing games, making patterns and solving puzzles. All part of our Maths Week activities.
