Ms Cullen couldn’t be prouder of how well the boys and girls have settled into room 4. We have enjoyed learning all about our new friends, playing with lots of toys, learning new songs and words as gaeilge and playing out in the yard! We had a great first week in school.
Thank you to all our mammies and daddies and grannies and grandads that came to visit us today. We had great fun making masks with them, doing wordsearches and making bookmarks. We hope you enjoyed spending the morning in our class. We certainly enjoyed having you.
The children in room 10 had a lovely morning with their mammies and daddies, grannies and grandads. They made cards for them and wrote lovely acrostic poems about their grandparents. Thank you to everyone who came to visit room 10 today.
The boys and girls in 1st class adopted bears yesterday. Each child adopted a bear and they have to take care of their bears by reading to the bear every day! The whole school got to participate in a science workshop this week. 1st to 3rd class went together and really enjoyed learning all about dinosaurs, participating in experiments and how the digestive system works.
We had a fun day on Friday to celebrate Halloween. We had a parade in school followed by a disco, stuck our hands in ‘brains’, made chocolate covered apples and some fun art. We asked teacher to take photos of us all dressed up….. lots of photos. Happy Halloween from all in room 9.
We had a fantastic week exploring the different elements of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths).
