Our school provides for the educational needs of girls and boys from Junior Infants to 1st class and for girls from 2nd to 6th class. An integral part of our school community is our 5 AS classes, which consists of four specialised classes for children on the Autistic Spectrum and an Early Intervention AS class.
Our Mission Statement
Our aim is to create a welcoming school, committed to educating children in a caring environment in partnership with the community.
Our Ethos
We believe that inclusion is of the upmost importance and that the school environment should reflect and respect the diversity of the broader community. Children from all countries, race and creed are welcome at our school and we also encourage active participation by their parents in school activities. In line with our policy on inclusion, the children in our AS Classes are integrated into our mainstream classes wherever possible and we have seen the benefits that this can bring to the school as a whole.
Our Approach
We’re very lucky to have small class sizes with ratios of 14:1 in some cases. We aim to provide a truly inclusive environment in which the unique skills of all children can be met. When it comes to learning, we have a very dedicated team of teachers working tirelessly to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Where assistance is required, we have both Maths Recovery and Reading Recovery teachers. Our learning support team also use the most up-to-date teaching methodologies to facilitate Maths Blast, Team Teaching and Station Teaching wherever possible in the classroom. These programmes provide the children with access to small learning groups which ensure they’re working at a pace best suited to their learning style.

Parents Welcome!
It’s very important to us that our parents feel welcome and included within our school environment. Our magnificent Parents Room provides parents with a space to call their own within the school. Our Home School Liaison programme encourages parents to get involved in fun school activities with their children as well as providing classes and activities just for parents. Our active Parents Association works to organise events throughout the school year, fundraising for new equipment, activities and trips for the children.
