A Busy Week in 2nd Class!

We’ve had a very busy week this week in our class!

On Monday we had a final and very important choir rehearsal to get ready for Corfheile. We also had great fun in our music lesson, dancing and playing instruments.

On Tuesday we represented our school in the Corfheile event in Tallaght. There were lots of other school choirs there and they were all super. Our school choir sang first and all of the teachers were so proud of us. Ms. Ni Bhreachain even put us on Twitter!

A huge thank you to Ms Conroy and Ms Murphy for the massive amount of work they put in to preparing us for the big day and for arranging such a lovely choir class every single week. We love going to choir and it is an important part of our music curriculum in OLOC.

On Wednesday we had a VERY important day! We made our First Confession! We put in a lot of preparation to receive this sacrament and everything went beautifully on the day. Our grown-ups were there to support us and Fr John did a wonderful job with the ceremony. We are now on the countdown to our First Holy Communion! The time is flying by and we are so excited!

Today we were engineers! We built mazes for motorised bugs and we created a moving piece of Lego, complete with a very cool motor. It was tricky but great fun! We also went to the school book fair!

Tomorrow we will attend swimming lessons for the first time and we can’t wait! We also have our very favourite part of the week, our Book Club, every Friday. It is officially World Book Day today but every day is book day in 2nd class because we just love to read!

What an amazing week! Have a look at some of our photos below:
