For the month of January 1st class were learning all about flowers. We had a flower shop at the back of our room and pretended to be florists. In art we created flowers based on the work of Kandinsky by cutting out different coloured paper and layering them.
We also planted seeds and have been busy watching them grow over the past few weeks.
For St. Brigid’s Day we designed our own version of her cloak using crepe paper.
Mrs. Troy organised for some parents to come in and we had great fun using the Lego Wedo kits with them. We also used the iPads to practise our tens and units by playing different games.
Finally we made paintings of sunflowers using forks!
